Lina did made the correct choice. Lense E allowed the least amount of light to pass through as compared to the other lenses.
ReplyDeleteE would allow the least light to pass through, yes but then she would not be able to see things. The lens would be a bit opaque. I do not think E is the correct choice.
DeleteOh yes! Your're right! Thanks!
DeleteMy Answer: Lina did not make the right choice. Lens E allows too little light to pass through, so Lina would not be able to see other objects. So, Lens D would be the most suitable to make the sunglasses instead as it would allow Lina to see other objects as well as preventing some sunlight from passing through the sunglasses.
It allow the least amount of light therefore i will be the most suitable to make the sunglass

I do not think Lina made the right choice as Lense E allowed too little light to pass through and it would make it hard for her to see without much light. I think the answer should be Lense D.
ReplyDeleteWanted to correct my spelling: it should be Lens E. I spelled the 'lens'as 'lense'. Thank you Nadine for correcting!
DeleteI do not think Lina made the right choice. Lens E does not allow a lot of light, thus also making objects less visible. I think the answer should be Lens D.
ReplyDeletePS. Lens is not spelled as 'Lense'. The plural is 'lenses'. The singular is 'lens'
Thank you for the sharing :)
DeleteI too do not think Linda has made the right choice.Lens E allolws less light to pass through so the answer is lens D.
ReplyDeleteI do not think Lina made the right choice.Lens E only allows very little light to pass through so her view becomes less visible. Thus
ReplyDeleteI think Lens D would be a wiser choice for the lens of the sunglasses.
Although lens E let the least amount of light to enter Lisa's eyes, I think the lens will be less visible for Lisa to see. The vision might made her see the sunny bright surroundings on a hot day look like a dark room. I argee with K.Ashwini that Lens D is best.
ReplyDeleteNope, I do not think she has made the right choice. Lens E allows very little light to pass through, hence, it would not allow her to see clearly.
ReplyDeleteP.S I do not think we need to write our 'selected lenses' for the question as it only stated to explain.
Do you think it would be easy to choose the correct len/es?
DeleteI guess u have to check with the "eye" doctor(forgot what that kind of doctor is called!) to find out. Lens D is only my mere guess.
DeleteThe "eye" doctor is called an optician who is a person who makes or sells eyeglasses and, usually, contact lenses, for remedying defects of vision in accordance with the prescriptions of ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Full moon: 1 lux
ReplyDeleteStreet lighting: 10 lux
Home lighting: 30 to 300 lux
Office desk lighting: 100 to 1 000 lux
Surgery lighting: 10 000 lux
Direct sunlight: 100 000 lux
Thus she makes the right choice as 300 lux is bright enough for us to see.
Wei Xuan do you remember the experiment conducted with tissue paper using data logger. With tissue paper it was about 300lux. I will add additional information with reference from your input, thank you so much for sharing. :)
DeleteI think 300 lux would be difficult for the user to see objects. Although I think the most suitable lens should allow light between 400 and 600 lux.
Delete1. If the full moon is 1 lux, 300 lux is equivalent to 300 Full moons.
Delete2. A candle 8 inches away gives off light measuring 10 to 15 lux, 300 lux is about 20 candles.
3. Home lighting is around 300 lux, so far I have no problem viewing under such condition.
All the above figures are based on true measurements and here are some websites that may help you to understand:
1.http://www.ehow.com/facts_8253474_lux-lighting.html
2.http://www.ehow.com/list_6961272_lighting-level-requirements.html
3.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight
I would like to ask, do you have anything to support your view so that we can learn?
no offence please, but is the full moon really that dim? Only 1 lux? Then why we can see the full moon? Sorry if I asked too much but just 1 more, how did scientits measure how much lux is the full moon? I am a curious one u know! :) And does the website says anthing about them( my questions)? Nothing else!
DeleteWow!Wei Xuan,you went to search.
DeleteGinwen, sorry, I did not go into detail about this. But based on the website, scientists measure the full moon overhead in tropical latitudes maybe using data loggers or lux meter.
DeleteHere is a website for reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lux
Ginwen, I THINK the light the full moon gives off could only be 1 lux. The reason why we can see the moon is because it reflects light from the sun.
DeleteTrue I guess
DeleteNo, she did not. Lens A allows too much light to pass through while Lens E is too dark. The lenses should be translucent so, she should choose Lens D. Translucent materials are about 600 to 1500 lux and Lens D is 825 lux.
ReplyDeleteE is fine,if she want it to me soo dark is her problem but i would still want her to use D which will let her see a lot clearer and better. o ya i am austin by the way but i just found out one of my friend also have goggle Docs so i have to put this name, besides my first name is in the front right?
ReplyDeletebe not me sorry...
ReplyDeleteum...... Am i COrrEct??? 0.o
ReplyDeleteI think she did not make the right choice. Even on a hot day outdoors, there will not often be so much light that Lisa needs to use Lens E. I think D is fine as Lisa still would be able to see some objects clearly.
ReplyDelete◕‿◕ Smileys!!!
no, lense E allows too much light to pass through so she can see clearly. She should choose lense D.
ReplyDeletesmiles!;3
You mean lens E allows too little light to pass through right?
DeleteNo, she would not be able to see things clearly.
ReplyDelete◕‿◕‿◕chenjing
I do not think that lina made the right choice. Lens E allows too little light to pass through. Lina should choose lens D as it allows the most light to pass through.
ReplyDeleteEverybody's answer is similar you know!! I just realized that!
ReplyDeleteAnd i just created a new account....
ReplyDeleteAnd the funniest of all is that you have to do some kind of code before your reply can be published!! And i am sorry because i like chating so i will kind of chat a lot once i start sorry really sorry i will try not to write so much. and after i checked, i think this looks like wat i wrote to Hanafi you know people? That is amazing! Really! soon i will stop ok?

ReplyDeleteLina did not make the right choice. Lens E does not allow a lot of light also making it less visible. The answer should be Lens D.

ReplyDeleteno.Lense E allows too less light to pass through.
ReplyDeleteShe has made the right choice. however she should also no choose one that does not let not much light pass through as she might not be able to see things clearly, therefore she may want to choose D.
ReplyDeleteno i think E is not the right choice as it does not let enough light to pass through.i think she should choose D
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lina made the right choice. E doesn't let a lot of light pass through thus not allowing her to see clearly. She should D. :)
ReplyDeleteYou mean: She should choose D .
DeleteYes, thanks. I think I typed it too fast that I forgotten to put choose. :)
DeleteI don't think Lina made the right choice, E allows too little light to pass through and she would not be able to see clearly. I think she should have chose D as D allows enough light to pass through so she can see clearly, it also blocks enough light so that the sun's light is not to bright.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lina made the right choice. Lens E pass through the least amount of light and will not be able to see clearly using the sunglasses therefore Lina did not make the right choice.

ReplyDeleteLens E is not the right choice for Lina . Lens E is the least amount of light to pass and cannot see clearly using Lens E . I prefer lens C and D If she need to make the lens for the sunglasses .
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lens E is a good choice.Although sunglasses is suppose to have the least amount of light passing through but lens E has too less light passing through.
ReplyDeleteI would think that:
A-->Spectacles
B-->Spectacles
C-->A bit darker lens spectacles/Sunglasses
D-->Sunglasses
Explain(the lens A,B,C and D):
Lens A:
A has too much light passing through so it should be transparent but sunglasses is not transparent.
Lens B:
B has light passing through but lesser than A.B still has too much light passing through so it should be a transparent(maybe a dirty or not clean)but sunglasses is not transparent.
Lens C:
C does have light passing through lesser than B but it has a bit too much light passing through. It still can be accepted depending on the person who wants to wear to block how much light from the sun.
Lens D:
D has the second least amount of light passing through so it must be a translucent lens so it is suitable for sunglasses as sunglasses is also translucent. As I say,it can be accepted depending on the person who is wearing wants how much light to be block.
My Ans:Lens C/D
Lens C and D
(Sorry if I took out too much space.Sorry for writing my answer and why if I am not suppose to) :(
Actually,I think it is Lens C as Lens D has too less light passing through and if the person used it as the lens,he/she might hit the wall or something.
DeleteAs most of them my answer is:Lina did not make the right choice as E allows very little light to pass through thus making it difficult to see where she is going. She should choose either C or D.
ReplyDelete~madhu~:D
Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteI,Aisya would choose lens C as it does not allow too much light and does not too less light pass through them ( them ==> A/B/D/E)
/it only allow some light.
lens C
ReplyDeleteLina did not make the right choice.Lens E allows very less light to pass through thus Lina would have difficulty to see.She should choose lens D or C as they are suitable and allow some light to pass through.
ReplyDeleteNo,she did not make the right choice..
ReplyDeleteE is allows least light to pass through..
If she chooses A it will allow all light to pass through.
But she wants a lense to make a SUNGLASS.
So she must choose C.

ReplyDeleteNope, I do not think she has made the right choice. Lens E allows very little light to pass through, hence, it would not allow her to see clearly
ReplyDeleteNo, she did not make the right choice.Lens E allows a little light to pass through and she won't get to see clearly.
ReplyDeleteNo,it the wrong choice.Lens E allow least light to pass through,so it is too dark. Lens D is the same as Lens E. Lens A allow most light to pass through, so it is too bright .Lens B is the same as Lens A. Lens C allow some light to pass through, so it is not too bright and not too dark. So Lens C is the right choice.
ReplyDeleteI think She Made the wrong choice.
ReplyDeleteShe should have used lens C as it does not allow too much light but still does allow light to pass through.
~ I V Y ~ (4-2)
Lina made the choice. As you see, Lens E only allows 300 hundreds Lux to pass through, you cannot really to see anything. So she should use Lens C. It would be the best choice.
ReplyDeleteZess
She made the wrong choice as lens E only allows 300 lux to pass through. Therefore she could not really see anything at all.
ReplyDeleteShe made the wrong choice. Lens E only allows 300 lux to pass through so she could not see clearly.
ReplyDeleteChloe
She did not made the right choice. D and E allows very little light to pass through as A and B allows too much light to pass through therefore the answer should be C.
ReplyDeleteI do not think Lina make the right choice as Lens E allows too less light to pass through and Lina could not see clearly.
ReplyDeleteI think Lens D would be the correct choice.
I think Lina should have choose Lens D instead of Lens E.
ReplyDeleteOOps.. I forgot to explain! :D Lina should have choose Lens D as some light could but not all light could. HEnce, she could not see properly. Lina chose Lens E as it was wrong. Reason: NOt much light could pass through the lens and if Lina was walking, she might hit someone or even worse... she could bang a walll as she could not see clearly.
ReplyDeleteBTW (BY THE WAY), sorry for the long explaination :) :)
HOpe you could understand but you could not, just reply back and I will reply back ASAP (AS SOON AS POSSILE).
Bye!
Its ok... For the long explanation I mean. And if I wrote Anonymous... I am not the same person as who wrote this! And who are you?
DeleteI don't think Lina made the right choice. Lens E pass through the least amount of light and will not be able to see clearly using the sunglasses therefore Lina did not make the right choice.
ReplyDeleteYi Wei
I not think she made the right choice because material E allows too little light to pass through for sunglasses for her to see clearly.
ReplyDeleteShe made the wrong choice as material E allows lesser light to pass through. She should choose material A.
ReplyDeleteShe shouldn't choose A. Look carefully! It says SUNGLASSES. Material A could be clear glasses as it lets too much light pass through. Consider your answer again! :)
Deleteyes because E allows the least light to pass through
ReplyDeleteWho are you???
DeleteShe should had choose Lens D imstead
